SoCon still tweaking broadcast package

The Southern Conference announced its slate of conference games for the 2024-25 men's basketball season on Monday, but has yet to release its schedule for football games scheduled for broadcast TV barely three weeks before the first big weekend of games Aug. 29-31.

Based on information from Western Carolina's athletics website, the schedule is still being adjusted even this week.

Last week, the Catamounts' football schedule listed the Sept. 7 home game with Campbell and Oct. 5 home game with Wofford as being part of the package put together by Nexstar Media. As of Tuesday, the Wofford game no longer has the Nexstar designation, but the Oct. 12 WCU home game with The Citadel does.

The schedule was announced Aug. 10 last year, but was revealed in July the two previous seasons.
